I'll be blogging about Borland related stuff. Mostly. And whatever else comes to mind. ;-)

More Wasabi!

That's the slogan of Pink Godzilla, which is a pretty damn good sushi place in Capitola.

Anyway, in my quest for more wasabi, I rented the movie "Wasabi" (2001). I have to admit I just added it to my rental queue simply because I love "The Professional" (1994). It turned out to be hilarious. Among other things, Hubert (Jean Reno) does a "hole in two" and Momo (Michel Muller) eats some wasabi. I nearly split my sides when he's trying to eat it just like Hubert did...

PC Plus reviews Delphi 8

Dave Jewell reviews Delphi 8 in PC Plus (UK).

A pretty good review, albeit too harsh on VCL for .NET. For more details on VCL for .NET development, please consider Why VCL for .NET by Danny Thorpe.

I was just browsing the latest issue of JavaPro. Looks like FTPOnline has a growing collection of SOA articles.

ThinkGeek April Fool's

I guess I saw this too late... Damn! :-)

You gotta love NetFlix!

Netflix to offer movie downloads

I've been a NetFlix junkie since they started. Now I need a faster broadband connection! 1,500kbps down isn't gonna cut it anymore. It'll take 33 hours to download a full 17GB movie... Not to mention that I probably get 20 movies a month from NetFlix. That would be 330 days of download time per year (assuming no flaky downloads)... I need an OC-3...

"In this article, Bob Swart explains what .NET Assemblies are, how you can use them in Delphi for .NET applications, and how you can make them yourself. There's more than one way–and even a special way–to use them in Win32 applications."

This disclaimer may contain repetion repetion or speling erors. I stole this mother of all disclaimers off of another web site I found using google. I edited it. I like it. If you don't, please don't let me know. If you read this far you must be a lawyer trying to find a loophole in this disclaimer, or you just cheated and checked the end to see what I added here. I should have put this in the middle somewhere. So long, and thanks for all the fish. Be happy. Rock on.
