Mar 30 2001 - New Article: Debugging JBuilder OpenTools
If you've been looking for an easier way to debug code plugged
into JBuilder you should run, not walk, to the articles section.
Apr 18 2000 - Downloadable Keybinding Examples: Including Brief!
Thanks to Keimpe we now have three examples of custom keybindings
for JBuilder. Source and binaries are included, as are instructions
for getting them up and running.
The UserEmacs and UserCUA
examples are a great place to start tailoring the existing keybindings
to your taste, and the UserBrief
example adds a much requested editor emulation that was missing
from the all-Java JBuilder editions. Enjoy!
Apr 5 2000 - New Article: What's New in JBuilder 3.5?
JBuilder 3.5 Foundation is available on the web site,
and Professional and Enterprise are already shipping to customers.
See the Articles page for a lengthy list of updates to our favorite
Java IDE.
Apr 3 2000 - Massive OpenTools Updates
The OpenTools Concepts page now links to a new conceptual overview
of the JBuilder archicture. In addition to the architectural overview,
there are also ten new conceptual guides to specific areas of
the OpenTools API available through links in the overview.
The OpenTools API page now includes a link to preliminary documentation
for JOT. Those of you looking for JOT information (and you know
who you are) now have access to descriptions of the low-level
API.
To make these updates more accessible, the Downloads page now
includes the option to download a snapshot of the full JBuilder
Update web site.
Mar 7 2000 - Dead Air is a Good Thing
When I'm silent for long periods of time it usually means I'm
travelling to spread the word about JBuilder or I've been buried
in secret projects. This time, as it happens, it's both. Still,
I've found a spare moment to put together some information about
a new topic and an OpenTool to demonstrate it, so drop by the
articles page and have a look.
Jan 18 2000 - Two New Sections and a New Article
The OpenTools Concepts area provides more depth on topics already
covered by tutorials, and already includes a draft of the OpenTools
Loader Concepts. The OpenTools API is a full online set of JavaDoc
detailing the classes that make up the OpenTools API.
After you've checked those over don't forget to stop by the articles
section to check out the in-depth goodies on JBuilder Dependency
Checker.
Jan 10 2000 - The JBuilder Update Goes Live!
The first feature article "The JBuilder Foundation Philosophy"
and OpenTools tutorial "JBuilder OpenTools Basics" are available.
More articles will follow and we'll make samples avaiable via
the downloads area from time to time. Welcome aboard!
The fun is just beginning...

Dec 1999 - Download JBuilder Foundation for Free
JBuilder
Foundation is a modern graphical environment for Java development,
written entirely in Java, and freely downloadable from the Inprise
web site. This isn't a time-limited trial and there are
no restrictions on the size of a project you can build.
This is just our way of improving the Java development experience
